Hello Mark, thank you for your precious feedback, he has a business account so i think he has access to that services. He managed to restore a big part( i dont know how) but he said that he had problem restoring some files and he doesnt know why. Will come back for more help when i'll have more info and details. Dropbox rewind should do this as long as it was already purchased when you did it.
www.dropbox.com/events may also show the deletions and allow restoring.
As a side note I hope he will now set up a backup system!
