Smart Sync options are missing on my context menu
I've noticed that my local Dropbox files have not been syncing lately. Normally you just have to "Right-click" on these files/folders and Smart Sync should be in one of the options. Not anymore!
...
- 7 years agoHi there, if the option isn’t there any more in the context menu on your machine, then the Dropbox desktop application isn’t running or working as it should.Could you check if the app is running, and additionally if the files themselves have any green ticks or other syncing icons?

That's it! It says it isn't enabled. But nothing happens when I click enable.
Thanks so much for the help!

6 years agoIn that case, can you reboot your computer and try again KarinLomes?
I'd suggest also making sure that you've installed the relevant Smart Sync drive (or system extension) on your computer as per the following Help Center article:

Let me know how this goes!

Its working!! The reboot did it, as my security settings were already good to accept system extensions.
Thanks a million Walter!

Hi,
I am having a similar issue, but only with certain files. After making a file local, I am unable to make it online-only again. The option disappeaers from the context menu. Other files in the same folder still have the sync option showing up in the context menu, just not the ones I've made local.
I've tried restarting. Moving the files to different folders. Renaming them. Etc.
Same folder, different file. This is with the sync option missing. Same folder, different file. This is with the sync option available.
