Hi there, KathleenKnickrehm!
Would you mind confirming your plan and Boxcryptor setup?
Also, please check out this article to make sure you have all the relevant info and requirements.
All in all, though, I think you should be able to get more info and further assistance if you send an email to support@boxcryptor.com.
Do keep us in the loop!

Hi Hannah
have been away yesterday, sorry for the late answer.
I am using a Laptop with Win 11, newest dropbox client v213.4.4597 and boxcryptor 1.3.2.0.
My boyfriend (PC guy :-) took a look yesterday: The .encfs6 file in the boxcryptor directory within dropbox has a line "generated with boxcryptor 1.5.413.155". Thus, he installed boxcryptor 1.5.406.139 as portable app and that way at least could get access to my files. But when he removed boxcryptor 1.3.2.0 and reinstalled 1.5.406.139 as global (not portable) we got the same problem that if we mount the boxcryptor folder withing dropbox with boxcryptor as drive K: we get no access to the files. It only works if boxcryptor is used as portable version...
Looks like a problem between dropbox, boxcryptor and Windows file system/manmagement...?

Hi KathleenKnickrehm! Hope you don’t mind if I jump in.
At this point, I’d also recommend checking this out with the Boxcryptor support directly at support@boxcryptor.com, like Hannah mentioned above.
If they can’t find something on their end, please let us know here and we’ll investigate further after that.
