Unable to make additional Replays off video on Dropbox
Hello all, I am avid and longtime Replay user. One of the ways I have leveraged Replay outside of standard video reviews, is to use it as a tool for generating briefs for creatives based on an exis...

Hi Megan
I have not tried a different browser since we are only using Chrome on our team with the latest build, as our IT team pushes updates as soon as they are available or notify us to update.
I am on Windows 10 Enterprise fully updated.
Here are the screenshots step-by-step for both methods
Starting from the file, where it lives on our Dropbox:
next from File menu on the top L, clicking on Open In, then selecting Dropbox Replay:
The result where it puts me back into the same replay that was 1st created from this file on Dropbox:
The Second method starting from where the file lives on our Dropbox:
From "Share" menu dropdown top R, click on Send for Review:
The next screen that shows up makes it seem like it's actually making a new Replay to work from:
The final Result that sends me back to the same Replay that was 1st created from the original file on Dropbox:
I went to double check from my Replay home page to make sure this wasn't generating a bunch of duplicates and i still see only the 1 that was initially made:
Hope this helps,
Thanks!
Walter

If you're unable to test another browser, could you try an incognito window with no extensions and plugins running and let us know if you get the same results?
Also, if you're part of a team, can you check if other teammates are facing the same issue?

Hello Walter
I can confirm this behavior is still the same in an incognito window with all extensions disabled minus Okta. We have a mandatory Okta plugin enabled that I cannot disable.
I had my motion artists test this as well, and they were seeing the same thing. Unable to make more than 1 replay from the same video within Dropbox.
From within Replay itself on the Home screen, if I use the "Add files" function, select Dropbox, then locate and select the video, then it does in fact make a new copy adding (1) to the end of it.
So, this issue appears to be restricted to the functionality from within Dropbox itself.- Walter30 days ago

Thanks for the confirmation on this esheafe - much appreciated.
Indeed, using "open file in > Replay" will open the same file on Replay, even if we've renamed it.
Taking into consideration your comments, and what you would want to see possible, I've passed this along to our team internally on your behalf.
Aside from that, I'd recommend either selecting the Dropbox files through Replay (Add files > Dropbox) or creating Projects in Replay home for each of your creative briefs and add them there. This should make it easier to archive if need be.
If there's anything else you might want to add to the feedback we logged with the team, please don't hesitate to reach back out.
