Dropbox overcharging for tax?

The Dropbox site is attempting to overcharge sales tax when upgrading. Sales tax per WA state for my zip code is 9.9%, while Dropbox wants to charge 10.5%. Anyone else experience this behavior?

Hey @eosterman, thanks for posting here!

Give me some time to check into this internally, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

    Thank you!

Hi eozzy, hope it’s alright to jump in.

Keep in mind that, generally, Dropbox collects and remits tax on transactions when required to do so. Taxability and tax rate are generally determined by the location of the buyer and seller, and various state and local tax laws.

However, to look into this further, we can log a ticket for you and have our team check this internally, since we don’t have account visibility here.
