How do I change my email address and username?

how do I change my email address/username in my acct.

  • Hi there darrell2!
     
    To change the name you have set on your Dropbox account:
    1. Sign in through the website.
    2. Click your avatar at the top of your page.
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Navigate to the Profile tab.
    5. Click Change beside your name.
    To change the email address you have associated your Dropbox account with:
    1. Sign in through the website.
    2. Click the avatar that’s at the top of the page.
    3. Go to Settings.
    4. Under the General tab, find your email address.
    5. Click Edit and enter the new email address, current email address, and password. 
    6. Click Update email.

      This doesn't work. the site never sends an email to the address I nominate as my new email (it says the change is pending but never changes it) so I can't confirm the new email address.

        Hi Riccardo47, it can take a little time for an email to be sent to verify the new address.

         

        Were you able to change the email on your account?

      When I click on my avatar and go to My Settings, there's no longer a General tab.
