Account closed, emails going to dead email address - how to reopen?

As the subject says, I have tried to log in after a couple of years but my Account is closed. I assume the Dropbox warning emails were going to dead email address - how to reopen the account once the account has been closed??

Hi NZFisher, welcome to our Community!

Did you receive any specific errors when trying to access your old Dropbox account?

Provided that your account was closed due to inactivity, then all you'd have to do would be for you to create a new account, using either the same email address, or a different one.

It won't contain your old files there, since they are removed along with the account.

    I hope this clarifies!

Thanks Megan, It's access to the old files I need!
As I wasn't receiving updates via email I didn't know they would delete my account - it has a decade of family photos along with tax records etc.
Is there any way to recover, that you're aware of?

And no specific errors, except that there is no account under that email address.

Hi NZFisher, I see, thanks for clarifying!

I'm afraid that once the account has been deleted, our hands are tied moving forward since the content is basically gone along with the account.
