Can I update my Dropbox email address, when I don't have access to the old one?

Today I got into my old Dropbox account after DropBox allowed it and told me to update my email account.  The DropBox account has files I want to keep backed up so I signed up for now on the monthly 2TB plan.  Now, I am in Dropbox and trying to update the main email address that is associated with my DropBox account.  BUT it is closed and been deleted many years and not available anymore. 

 

Question:  How can I change my DropBox main email account to a different email account when the original email account cannot receive the confirm emails that Dropbox sends out?

    Simply put dcschultz75 you cannot. 

     

    All you can do is download the files, or share it to a new account.
