This is working but causing serious battery drainage. This needs to be fixed immediately. If im doing to disable dropbox im going to cancel service.

Why all this buzz?Because dev kits were out 9 months ago.Because Rosetta isn't as efficient as nativeBecause if they're not keeping current on this, then what other performance or security improvements to MacOS are they also not using. Why all this effort from you apologizing on behalf of Dropbox for slow/lazy/incompetent development.

If you open the System Information app which is included with macOS you will find an item Applications somewhere on the left. Click this and let it load, it will show you all installed application with their architecture.

Dropbox seemingly determined to not tell people basic facts... This is still an Intel only binary - it works on M1 & Big Sur but still using Rosetta 2. All 8 processes of it.

Plus one. I'm also keen to see an M1 native non Rosetta version of dropbox.

Hi all,

If you’re using a new Apple Silicon device, we recommend using this initial build until Dropbox is compatible with Silicon devices in the coming weeks.

  Its the first in months from Dropbox about support for Apple Silicon Macs, who are out already from juni 2020 to test under macOS Big Sur Beta, there is not the Big Sur release 11.0.1 out and pretty stable.

  But what about Windows on ARM? I have been waiting for this for a year now! This is ridiculous. You'll support silicon Macs very quickly but not Windows on ARM. Disgraceful.
