While we do regularly update active Dropbox accounts automatically to the latest version, should we find any issues updating your computer to the latest version, the Dropbox application will let you know that your current version is old. You can always read more about the updating process here.

Oh wow. I just found out my dropbox broke and it couldn't update since 42.4.114. I had to remove .dist-dropbox daemon and manually reinstall it on Linux :/
