Installationsprogramme starten nicht

Hallo, da ich gezwungen werde den Dropbox-Client zu aktualisieren habe ich den aktuellen Installer (DropboxInstaller.exe) heruntergeladen. Dieser reagiert aber nicht, wenn ich ihn per Doppelklick star...

If I may attend here... I have the same symptoms, but the root cause was something different. I had problems with my Windows 10 Start menu. I was not able to click the start button and the whole menu crashed with the prompt to re-logon which did not help.

I found several solution proposals, the only thing that worked for me... to uninstall my working dropbox. After a restart my Windows start menu worked like before, but now I got the issue like described above that I'm not able to install dropbox neither the online nor the offline client.
When I retun back home I will try the beta client.

I assume that the issue is a combination of a currently installed Windows security patch and the current version of dropbox.

BTW a firend of mine got the same issue on Win 7
