Support Apple Vision Pro

I copied some files over to Dropbox from my Mac this morning, intending to view them on my Vision Pro. I was surprised to find that it’s not available on the VP App Store or as an iPad app, I know it’s only a small user base at the moment, but surely you don’t want any customers migrating to alternative solutions?

I really think they don't care.
As you said we are a small user base. The Vision Pro was released 9 months ago. They purposely unchecked the ability for their iPad apps to work on the Vision Pro.
I migrated to Box and I can use all my files on the Vision Pro.
I love the "The Dropbox team is actively looking into it." :
--> Guys, it's a check box. Just click on it to allow your iPad app to work on the Vision Pro. I don't think you need 9 months to find where it is. You found it when you unchecked it.

Hi Alexis L.2,
We understand where you're coming from and understand your frustration. While the team is working on it, we don't have a timeline just yet.
We are aware of the long wait and we really appreciate your patience.
Your feedback is important, and I'll make sure it's passed along. Thanks for sticking with us.

Everyone says they’ve had 9 months to work on this, which is incorrect. They’ve had 15 MONTHS, nearly 1.5 years since Apple’s WWDC 2023 reveal of the Vision Pro and visionOS! Other professional developers chose to either create a native visionOS app, or to “do nothing”, allowing their iPad app to “just work”. Box released a native visionOS app on day one. Microsoft allowed their OneDrive for iPad app to work. (Google imagines themselves as a competitor… someday… in the VR space, so they don’t allow any of their apps to work out of spite.) So that leaves Dropbox with no excuses except: they either can’t do it (not enough people or resources), or don’t care… or both. Personally, I already moved on years ago to Box. However, I still need sporadic access to Dropbox to collaborate with remote clients that still force me to use it.

Hey Melissa_Atwell,
We completely get why you're feeling frustrated, and we really appreciate you voicing your thoughts.
It can be super frustrating to see other apps making progress while we’ve been waiting so long.
Your feedback is important, and I’ll definitely make sure to share it.
If there's anything else you'd like to discuss, just give us a shout.

Virtual office work is likely the future of productivity. There are many advantages: cheaper hardware for the visual space and flexibility, less physical space, more connectivity, more portability etc. In that space, I have the Quest pro, Apple Vision Pro, Sony devices, Google Glass, and more. The AVP is by far my favorite and seems like the one most likely to dominate the market in the future (most likely with a pared down version, but still running vision OS). This is the moment, much like when Apple released the iPhone, and the tablet, and the user base was small then too, and people were trying to figure out how to incorporate the device into their lives….this is the same moment for this device. Dropbox, please don’t delay, be part of the moment. I have been a fan of yours since 2003 if my memory is correct, I have continued to support your platform despite free access to unlimited storage on OneDrive and seamless integration with my employer through it, and OneDrive works easily on AVP. I am waiting for you to get on board in this moment, but its interfering with my work now, and if you don’t get on board soon, I will have to move all of my content over to OneDrive and cut ties. I will be disappointed, but it will need to be done. PLEASE PLEASE hurry up and integrate with Vision OS.
