Disable "Suggested from your activity" permanently
Hi there,
I absolutely hate the feature "Suggested from your activity". I would like to see a checkbox in settings that allows a user to disable that permanently and have the cleanest possible view of file(lists) and folders.
The "Suggested from your activity" feature always shows my family photos or, like today, a preview of my tax form. Whenever I open dropbox in the office to browse my files, all my work colleges can see these previews too. The icon that hides it, is only remembering the setting as long as one does not delete cookies from the browser. At our company, it is policy to delete cookies every day at the end of the day. So this "hiding" setting is pretty useless for me.
More over, please make it possible to have a clean, minimalistic UI without all the fluff, super big blue buttons and "easy access" helpers. Some people don't need it. It is distracting and disturbing.

I would like to stop getting notifications about this but I don't see how.

Please add this feature. I don't want to open dropbox and have people see personal family photos or sensitive documents.

Why is this even an "idea" to remove? This is literally a privacy issue. I don't want my friends and colleagues to know what the last thing I was doing on drop box, is, every time I open a browser to pull a file.
Sometimes I need to download a file during a meeting. My folders are pretty organized based on projects and jobs. So people in the meeting don't need to see my say tax return on top of the screen just cause that was the last thing I was working on.

I hate this and all format from Dropbox. It was clean, only the archives and folders. Now is full of secondary options. Large squares and other drawings make my work much harder.

Please add an option to ignore folders in activities and on the homepage. These options are useless in my work. I don't want private files to appear on the homepage at work. Similarly, I don't want them to be considered when searching for files.

Why in the WORLD can one not disable the "Suggested from your activity" function? It is just madness (or corporate greed) in this day and time to NOT have this flexibility? If it is not solved very soon, I am migrating to Google Drive or some other option. I don't need "recommendations" from my previous activity; when I open Dropbox I already know EXACTLY what I won't to do.......if your software engineers are not bright enough to program in the option of shutting this "recommended" silliness off, then I know some recent graduates in IT from Frog Jump Junior College here in Louisiana y'all need to contact immediately...I have their phone numbers.......if not done soon, you will lose my money permanently.

So.... this "idea" which is obviously a global request, is still being ignored by Dropbox.
It is going to happen or will Dropbox become another Apple and Microsoft were "Please send us your feedback" is as useless and annoying as this feature.PLEASE give us the option to remove this recent activity or suggestions.

Add my vote to making this an optional tool! I would love to turn it off. It just jumbles things up. It's not clean.

same problem here. I dont like dropbox to show recent files on the lower right taskbar dropbox menu. there is no option to disable or clear recent files.

A waste of screen space on my small laptop.
Also, if I understand the feature - this will happen: I get a link to a shared folder (call this folder 1) from someone. I go there, and instead of showing the one folder (call this folder 2) that is in that shared folder, it also shows various subfolders of folder 2. This is very confusing to have folders and subfolders shown as if they are equivalent. They are not.
