You might see that the Dropbox Community team have been busy working on some major updates to the Community itself! So, here is some info on what’s changed, what’s staying the same and what you can expect from the Dropbox Community overall.
Hi, it would be *really* useful to be able to edit .txt (text) files in browser. There are several threads asking for this, and it's possible in the Dropbox apps on mobile.
Please support light weight text editing in browser. I can sign, save, download, upload, etc. I just want to change one word in a file without doing that. Please help! I am often on a work computer and want to edit my files in dropbox, but only option is web interface, and that doesn't have an edit feature.

Nice feature! Although I completely moved to Dropbox Paper, txt files are still used by my team and they would find really useful editing txt on browser.

Hi Dropbox community !
Txt files have a necessary role when you have a large dropbox , the files are safe files, you can't embed links , can embed malware and can be used by all system OS users. I have logged a dropbbox ticket number 23571542 : DB txt files in Dropbox
I can edit a txt file via a mobile but the ability to edit a txt file has disappeared. WHY ??? Editing a txt file using a mobile is not that easy because I have a small screen. Txt files are small , they can be searched (whereas you can't search a comment that is created against an invoice)
Txt files take no time to create & edit and the functionality has been available for many years. Dropbox now want me to download the txt file , edit it on my laptop , upload from my laptop the updated txt file. Syncing dropbox to my laptop is a great tool though I don't have a massive laptop. I labelled this suggestion as Dropbox AI , appears AI doesn't consider or care how people actually like to work, the focus is create a txt file and then it remains stagnant.
