You might see that the Dropbox Community team have been busy working on some major updates to the Community itself! So, here is some info on what’s changed, what’s staying the same and what you can expect from the Dropbox Community overall.
I use emoji’s to help me find things quicker. I would like to add an emoji from the apple keyboard to the file folder name but when I click on rename and add the emoji it says “invalid folder name...the folder name contains invalid characters”. Here is an example I wish to change “Vehicles and DOT” folder to say “🚗Vehicle and DOT”

I can see some nightmares with this if you want to keep the support for all OS'es 😱
It's bad enough on the client side where Macs can use some really weird file names locally which gets "translated" or skipped when syncing with Dropbox.
- ЗдравкоLegendary | Level 20Let's hope someday full Unicode support will be available.
- ЗдравкоLegendary | Level 20Let's hope restriction "the Dropbox API only supports characters in the Unicode Basic Multilingual Plane" will be overcome ( https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/API-Support-Feedback/Czech-diacritics-characters-in-filename/m-p/357739#M20397 ). There are many other discussions, in this forum, directed to the limited character set used in Dropbox. I wouldn't count them.
