Hi, I have been using Dropbox for many years, and am generally happy with it.
I am recently using Adobe Premiere Elements to edit and create videos. I want to export the final file to my Dropbox. I can point APE to my dropbox, but as part of the process, it creates 2 very large temporary files (.aac and .m4v), and when completed, these are merged into the final .mp4 file. Because I am creating some large 4K mp4 files, the .m4v file is just as large as the final mp4 (about 20GB for a 40 miniute video.
I could export to a non-dropbox folder and then manually move the mp4 to dropbox. What would be better would be if I could exclude all .acc and .m4v file from the dropbox sync. ie, juat as I can exclude folders in a selective sync, I would like to exclude files by filetype.
I contacted support who confirmed it was not currently possible.
I think this would be useful for many other use cases.
