You might see that the Dropbox Community team have been busy working on some major updates to the Community itself! So, here is some info on what’s changed, what’s staying the same and what you can expect from the Dropbox Community overall.

Location of the Dropbox folder in Windows. Environment such as variable %onedrive%
As it turns out, MS Onedrive when installed creates an environment variable %onedrive%
so, it seems to me that when the dropbox client is installed on windows, an environment variable %dropbox%
should be created with the path of the dropbox folder --- dropbox is not always installed at c:\users\<mywinid>\dropbox

Status changed:Gathering SupporttoClosed I have a number of computers that connect to my dropbox account -- not all of the computers have the dropbox folder installed in the same location, so with env var %dropbox% I could write generic scripts to run on any of the computers.
Also, it not uncommon now to see computers with 2 hard drives where the boot drive is a small ssd sometimes just 128gb and a second that is 1tb --- so installing dropbox on the boot drive does not make sense in this case --- this is where %dropbox% would be very useful
