New Dropbox App for Gmail needs a search function
I noticed that the current APP for Gmail will be discontinued and replaced on May 22nd with a new APP.
The new APP seems ok but is missing the search function found in the current APP.
I would hate to scroll through multiple pages to find and insert a folder into a Gmail email I send to my clients.
See attached pictures. PLEASE add the Search feature in the new APP. I left Google Drive for your service. Thanks.

I noticed that the new app for gmail does not have a search option like the original app that is being discontinued this month.
This in my opinion is a very important feature to have.
Currently I would open and create an new email in Gmail, when I want to send a client pictures I uploaded onto Dropbox I would
click on the Dropbox widget at the bottom of Gmail and then search the folder containing the photos and insert the download link into Gmail and hit send....easy...
With the new app I have to click on the Dropbox widget and scroll through possible multiple pages to get to the folder I want to include for download...this is not very efficient at all.
Please include a search bar at the top of the popup box just like the current app.
Thanks in advance.

I currently use a third party gmail-->dropbox extension that lets me search for a folder when I want to save a file. It looks like you're disabling it in a week. The third party extension is better because it lets me search for a folder by typing. The official integration requires me to navigate my folder hierarchy manually each time.

The Gmail Addon is not an adequate replacement for the Chrome extension.
I use Dropbox in my law practice. My practice management software creates individual folders for each client and a subfolder beneath that for individual matters. I have hundreds of client folders.
With the extension, I could plug the first few letters of the client's last name in and easily pick from a list of conforming folders.
With the addon I am faced with an alphabetical listing of a limited number of folders. To get to names later in the alphabet, I have to page through a generated list of folders multiple times to get to the right page of folders.
So you replaced something that took seconds with something that takes minutes and is frankly unworkable. Not office user friendly in the least. No search bar. No file explorer window to select a folder.
To top it off, you didn't give a choice. Chrome extension is gone and the addon is what we get. Terrible.
Honestly, until it's fixed, I cannot use it. I am reduced to a cumbersome process of downloading files into a downloads folder, then viewing them in a folder and then dragging and dropping them into the right folder. Slow and tedious compared to the now-eliminated Chrome extension, but lightning fast compared to the Dropbox addon.
This needs to be fix

A search function, the ability to choose a sorting method (i.e. last modified), the ability to return to the last opened folder are all features that should have been implemented from the beginning, not features that need to be requested. The fact that none of these features exists in this app is laughable—and renders this app practically useless.
