Dropbox Basic
134 TopicsDo shared links have a default expiration date on Dropbox Basic?
Hello, I am currently using the free version of Dropbox, and I would like to confirm if shared links to uploaded folders still do not have an expiration date by default. I understand that with the Dropbox Professional or Business plans, it is possible to set an expiration date for shared links. However, I would like to know if, on the free plan, my shared links will remain active indefinitely unless I manually delete or remove them. Thank you!Solved54Views0likes2CommentsHow to categorize images automatically based on content inside with Dropbox AI?
Hi everyone, I checked on Google and found that Dropbox has AI feature. I want to ask how to use it to categorize images based on content inside with Dropbox AI. I have 5000 images about fashion mostly. Some are leather clothes, some are Jean, some are Blazers, some are T-Shirts... I want to move all images auto to some folders that fit with their categories automatically. If Dropbox AI or Dropbox Automation or any tool out there can do that, please guide me. Much appreciate!!! Yours Sincerely, Nathan59Views0likes3CommentsDownloading from a shared link from Patreon gives me an error screen
I am attempting to download a file over a link from patreon. I click the link and its supposed to go to a dropbox screen where i can download the file. I click the link and i get an error screen with your annoying dog. wich only serves to make it more frustrating. nobody else is having that problem with the link so it is clearly not the link at fault.Solved24KViews0likes10CommentsHow to sort files within a folder
Does anyone know how to move picture locations within a dropbox file folder? For example, if I wanted to move the location of a photo from the beginning to the end of the file. There does not appear to be any kind of drop and drag capability.238Views0likes2CommentsFolders showing up empty when I send a link to someone
This has only been happening to me within the past week, but it is really hurting my business. I am always sending a folder with either video files or photos. Generally people are opening the link on their phone with the intention of saving them to their phone. Basically what is happening is when I send someone the link to the folder, for them it either says that the folder is empty, or it shows the files but when they click on them it says the file type is not supported and so they can't view them or save them. This seems to happen whether they are using the Dropbox app or they open the link using Safari. The same thing also happens if they try to open the link to the folder on desktop. Also it should be noted that I upload the files via the Dropbox website, and I know they are all synced before I send the link because I check on the app on my phone before I copy the link. I have double checked and I know I am sending them the correct link and near the link when I copy it it literally says "anyone with this link will have access to these files" but I guess that is not the case for some reason. It also doesn't seem to matter if the person is signed in to their account or not. Any idea on why this is happening? Need to fix it ASAPSolved8.9KViews3likes38CommentsCan't download a single file from my Mac.

I'm trying to get into DropBox so I can see my files (I only have 1.81 MB) but now there's a pop up from DropBox that says my free plan has expired and I'm going to be switched to the basic plan if I don't provide my payment information. Well ... I don't need to pay ... but there's no way for me now to access my files because the pop up won't go away. What do I do now? Can anyone help?301Views0likes1CommentVery slow opening files and folder
Hi everyone, I'm using Dropbox (firmware n. 166.3.2831) on my gaming laptop running Windows 11. Everything run smoothly until some days ago, when Dropbox suddenly became very slow when clicking to open folder or file: it takes MANY seconds (10-15 seconds at least). This causes a huge slowdown in the user experience, I can't even work in these circumstances. Of course this is a problem related to the Dropbox folder only, local folders run as smooth as they should. How can I fix that? Thanks. EDIT: apparently there's a conflict between Dropbox and iCloud for Windows; deleting the latter, Dropbox app works.Solved9.4KViews4likes18Comments.mp4 files have no audio after I download them
I downloaded files that were uploaded by a training institute. It takes 2-3 hours to download the file each time and once it is downloaded (to my laptop) it has no sound. It is an mp4 format and I have tried multiple media players, checked to ensure my volume and theirs is showing as on/not muted. I have three different trainings to do from this and I've taken far too many hours simply trying to gain access 😞 Can someone help me figure out how to get this to work701Views0likes6Comments
