I am needing to provide a place for a couple of videographers to upload files to my Dropbox so I can include them in my edits. When I created a shared file and sent it to them, they respond that they are asked to create a Dropbox account of their own to access my link. I just need them to upload their video files to my account - they don't need to have their own Dropbox accounts. Is there a way around this requirement to create accounts for these non-Dropbox users to access a shared directory?23Views1like1CommentWhy is my Documents folder in my Dropbox folder?
After many years using the same computer, we purchased a new one. There are many things different from the "old days". I feel like a total newbie! I somehow ended up with my documents folder in Dropbox. And I don't use Dropbox. Could someone please tell me how I can get my files out of dropbox and my documents folder back in File Explore where I've always had it? I am leaving next week and I'd really like to be able to use my computer without these changes. Thank you for any suggestions.396Views0likes10CommentsThe syncing icons on my files got moved after a Dropbox update
Da un aggiornamento di dropbox (attualmente ho installata la versione 212.4.5767), le icone di sincronizzazione (prima incorporate dentro a quelle dei file, in basso) sono finite a lato ben distanti... Così come mostrato qui a seguire. Grazie a chiunque possa darmi una mano a risolvere39Views0likes2CommentsWaiting to sync (Mac)
Since yesterday, Dropbox won't sync files on my iMac. The app constantly says 'syncing 175 files', but nothing happens Manual upload does work. So apparently there is nothing wrong with the internet connection. I have a 6.25 GB account with only 2.8 GB in use. I have already uninstalled the Dropbox app and downloaded and installed the latest version. Restarting the Mac doesn't solve anything either I looked on my Mac for the cache to empty it, but I can't find it. I recently significantly reorganized my Dropbox folders, could that be a cause? Strange though is that after that at least one file was automatically synced. When I click "View sync issues," there are no sync issues.Solved4.2KViews1like43CommentsFile uploaded from one computer is not accessible on another computer

Hello, I’m currently on Dropbox Basic (Free) with a total of 8.5 GB of storage. I use Dropbox primarily for my business and recently set up a shared folder specifically for our social media manager, who has edit access. Her role involves uploading, downloading, and managing digital content for our marketing efforts, and I gave her Can Edit permissions, expecting that she could fully collaborate within this folder without needing her own storage space. However, we’re encountering issues. She’s been getting messages suggesting that she needs to upgrade her account to access the folder fully. Initially, she received an error stating that “access through the links requires an upgrade.” She temporarily upgraded to a 30-day free trial, which resolved the access issue, but ideally, we’d like to keep both our accounts on the Basic plan. My understanding was that as long as I have enough space on my account, any content shared within this folder would be covered by my storage capacity, not requiring her to have additional storage on her end. Questions: 1.Is there a way to allow her to upload, download, and edit files without her needing additional storage or an upgraded account? 2.Are there specific sharing settings I should adjust so she can manage files within my storage limits? 3.Would sharing a link instead of an “invite to edit” resolve these storage-related prompts, or does it limit collaboration capabilities? Thank you for any insights on how I might be able to set this up efficiently on a Dropbox Basic plan!Solved543Views0likes1CommentI'm not able to share Dropbox links for years
So, I have been banned from sharing links from Dropbox for years, I never did get any understanding of why, I never got an email about it and just dug back through to see if I had gotten anything, but no such luck. It gives a message on the site that I did something against the ToS but I have absolutely no idea how or when. This has been years and I never share links enough for it to have mattered until recently now that I'm doing tabletop gaming. Is there anything at all I can do to get this ban removed at all, I don't even know when this started or why.215Views0likes4CommentsMy updates show up in my Dropbox folder but not online after moving to new computer
