86 TopicsTransfering ownership of a family plan?
Hi We have a family plan and the family manager is no longer able to continue in that role for serious health reasons. What we need to do is transfer ownership so that one of the other members within the family plan can take over the role of manager and become responsible for future payments when they are due. Is there a way to do this? Any assistance would be gratefully received.1.5KViews1like8CommentsFamily plan vs Professional plan
I can’t find the differences between the family vs professional plan. I currently have the professional plan but want my wife to be able to upload her pictures to her own “Camera Backup_wife” folder and I believe that is not doable unless I’m mistaken? I read that a family plan would allow her to do this but I can’t find a comparison of the plans and so I’m wondering if I would loss features switching from Professional to Family? Will I still have large file transfers? And unlimited devices?5.7KViews0likes3CommentsCan we change our Family manager or do we need to cancel and re-upgrade to Family?
Hi, our team is currently using the family plan and we want to keep using that plan, but the family manager is leaving the company. I plan to change the manager to someone else and update the payment card. Is it right for continuing to use the data we've had so far? or would I need to cancel the current plan and subscribe to a new one for creating new account? If I have to cancel, will I be able to back up and continue using our data? (I mean, can I use all previous date with the new account?) and if so, which plan would be best for our team? We're currently using a 2TB family plan, and our team consists of 5 members.483Views0likes7CommentsCreating a shared file system with user-specific object-level access, which plan is good?
Dear all, I want to create a synchronized file system across two users working on different platforms. I need to control users' access to folders and files, while preserving the team's folder structure. Specifically, I want to give access to specific parts of the file system to different users without requiring them to reorganize their folders manually in order to reflect the team's hierarchy. Is there a way to set up such a structure ? If so, which subscription plan is required, and how should I proceed to implement this ? As it is for a personal (family) purpose, is Dropbox Family adapted ? I thank you in advance for your help.Solved620Views0likes6CommentsGet support for your paid Dropbox account

Our admin dropbox account will not allow us to update my billing. I click update it gives me a pop up at the top telling me "failed to cancel changes". Nothing happens I then click on Family as I have a family plan and it gives me the "Something went wrong. Please try again later" I have scoured the help desk for a number to call. None. I have tried leaving a ticket but I am told by dropbox's help desk that my subscription level doesn't allow me to put in a request for help form. Even though I pay $300 a year then $35/month. I would hope that $700+ a year for file storage would get you the ability to ask for help. My credit card has changed and I literally can't even update my billing, and dropbox has no way for me to ask for help. I'm beyond frustrated.401Views0likes1CommentCan Family members access the files stored on other users' accounts? Do we need extra disk space?
Hi DropBox community, I am thinking of upgrading my plan to a family plan. I have a query regarding data synchronization among the family members. Could you please tell us how our data will be synced? Is there a possibility that any member (lead) can see all the data uploaded by other members? How the data is synchronized on our personal desktops, like will we be needing any additional storage space on laptops/ desktops? Thanks, Best, Tarun199Views0likes1CommentI'm leaving my Dropbox family plan, but I'm still a member?
