Hello all I hope someone can help me! I have signed up to Dropbox professional so that I can watermark my photographs. Although I can see the ellipsis on the top right hand corner above my photographs, when I press it, the word watermark does not appear. Please advise! I recently bought a new Mac and used the Apple Migration Assistant to transfer all of my data from my old machine to my new one. This included the Dropbox folder and everything else. The migration went smoothly (in the past I have had issues migrating the Dropbox folder) and now I have all of my files on my new machine exactly as they appeared before. I used Dropbox Backup on my old machine, and so the Music, Movies and Pictures folders are stored inside the hidden folder titled "Mac" in the main Dropbox folder, and their original location is replaced with an alias. I now would like to set up Dropbox Backup on my new machine to backup these folders exactly like it did on my old one. However, when I go into Dropbox preferences, it asks if I would like to backup my Mac and shows all of the unticked options for folders to backup. I was wondering what the best way to setup Dropbox Backup on my new computer would be? Do I have to delete the backup, move the folders back into their original location and create a new backup? Or is there a way of telling Dropbox that this machine should inherit the backup of my old machine? I am still currently in possession of my old machine so I can access things from there if necessary. I thought it would be best to wait and hear the correct way of doing this, since I have tried in the past to fix things very quickly myself making the situation worse, as I have seen other people with similar stories do.3.4KViews0likes25Commentstypo in my email. asked to verify. now stuck.
Hi, I created an account that had a typo. I had hotmail.om and not hotmail.com which is the correct email. I am being billed for a pro account and receiving emails to my hotmail.com email address At subscription management, it still displays that I have a Basic account and not a Pro account that I have been billed for. I was told to verify my address the hotmail.om address in hopes of changing it. I never received the verification email and I am unable to edit the email address from hotmail.om to hotmail.com I am unable to chat to a service rep because my email isn't verified. I cant verify it because there is a typo. any assistance is welcomed. ThanksSolved1.3KViews0likes1CommentBest Practice for Configuring Dropbox
I’ve used Dropbox for many years. The configuration I’ve created on many new PCs is to create the Dropbox folder inside Documents (there is nothing else of significance in the rest of Documents. I then use Boxifier to sync Downloads, Music, Pictures, Videos and my Calibre library (ebooks). In addition, all of these folders are backed up to a NAS each night with Robocopy. Given the requirement to sync these folders to Dropbox in some way, I would be interested to learn how other Dropbox users would do this. What is best practice? Can I do this efficiently without using Boxifier? Thanks for your help.872Views0likes1CommentAccidentally created multiple accounts & need to link them
i! I was noticing that some files would sync and some files were totally MIA except on my computer. Eventually I realized that the account linked to my computer, a personal account, is the one I purchased an upgrade Pro account for. I need the Pro account for my work... Both email addresses are gmail.com and dropbox will not let me link 2 "personal" accounts. I've attempted reaching out to customer service and I get a robot or a sales person. I also emailed the department the salesperson suggested and haven't heard back. I do not know how to proceed and I have files all over the place- some duplicates, but many singular. It's a mess. Please advise or direct me to someone who can help, thank you and have a wonderful day!456Views0likes1CommentProblem Doing a Dropbox Update on Windows 10
I am using a Dell Laptop--Windows 10. I am using Dropbox Pro the $199/year plan. The Dropbox Help Center says that to update Dropbox, click on "your initials" in the top right corner of the page. I did that. Next, the directions says to click on "Preferences." My drop-down box does not have "Preferences." The directions says that it's located under "Language." Under "Language," I have no other option listed. Language is the last one. Does this mean that I can't use an update? Thank you!!157Views0likes1Comment
