Good morning, I currently have a Dropbox Plus account. I've already included a 1TB add-on with this. Now it's starting to fill up as well, and I'd like to add an extra TB to a total of 4TB. I don't see the need to switch to a Professional account, where I have to pay directly for 3 users, while I don't use this. is there a way to extend my Plus account? Thanks in advance.575Views0likes9CommentsIf I upgrade and then revert to basic do I lose the space I earned?
Hi all, If I upgrade from Dropbox basic and then find I need to revert to basic, do I lose the basic expansion space I earned by making referrals. I earned 6.2G which suits me well, I'm unsure that I'll use much more, but I could not manage if it reverted to 2G Does anyone know for sure please? many thanks Neil1.4KViews0likes3CommentsWhy the Dropbox constantly makes my files online-only even if I make them local?
Recently, I found that after I make some files locally, if I leave it aside like 10-20 minutes, I will find them online-only again. It is quite frustrating because it means that I have to constantly make things local in order to work on it. I checked my preference on Sync, it sets "available offline" for new files. I suspect, is there something called smart sync, which automatically make files online once your local storage is low? But this happens when my computer still have 260GB storage. So it's just weird.Solved2.3KViews0likes14CommentsWindows 10 - Accidentally Clicked Make Available Offline for 700 GB drive.... How to stop sync?
I was trying to access the folder in a new window and stutter clicked on the context menu and clicked "Make Available Offline" for a drive that's 700 GB of design files.. Aside from quitting the app to prevent it from syncing the entire drive and bricking my hard drive to capacity, is there a way to undo this setting? I'm afraid to restart the app because I don't know if it will continue the syncing process. Thanks, T.4.1KViews1like10CommentsDropbox lost all storage (Dropbox PRO) and will not give support
I have been a Dropbox customer for over 10 years on the Pro plan. All functioning without problems. Installed a new computer and Dropbox asked me to relogin just now, which I did. I provided the correct login details. However now my Dropbox folders do not show anymore, and the account has suddenly become basic (i.e. 2GB instead of 3TB). I have however fully paid for the PRO version and it is not expired. Support options are not available to resolve this as I am now not a Pro user anymore according to Dropbox. You just get stuck in the Help Center website which does not help or resolve anything. In summary: Until a few hours ago everything worked fine and I was working on files in the cloud. Now all my data has disappeared, I cannot work and cannot get any meaningful support. Any suggestions would be more than welcome! Thank you!433Views0likes2CommentsIssue with Dropbox Automatic Backup on MacBook M1 – Local Downloads Despite "Only-Online" Setting
Hey everyone! I've been running into some recurring issues with the Dropbox automatic backup system, especially after restarting my MacBook M1. It seems that Dropbox automatically starts downloading large libraries locally, even though I have them set to "only-online." This is causing my hard drive to fill up pretty quickly, given that some of these files are as large as 15-30 GB each. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem or have any insights into how to resolve this? I'd greatly appreciate any advice or solutions you might have! Thanks in advance! 🙏411Views0likes1Comment
