File requests

I want to allow a third party to upload a file once a month. Does this person need to be a member? Can I give a link to the folder? Is that all I'd need to do? Would the 3rd party be able to see everything in this folder? Should I make a folder just for this person to upload to it 1x per month?Solved131KViews1like15CommentsBest way to submit video files
Hi - A business colleage wants a group of people to be able to submit individual video files to her Dropbox. She would prefer to do this without requiring each person to create their own Dropbox account. What is the best way for her to accomplish this? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. bobSolved11KViews0likes15CommentsFile Request - Please provide an option to NOT rename our uploaded files
We receive tons of file submissions from our business partners daily. However, a large part of the time I spend managing these submissions is spent renaming the files because they're automatically prefixed or suffixed with theDropbox username of the user that uploaded the file. This causes a lot of unnecessary work and wasted time. I am requesting that you allow us - the paying Dropbox users - the option to determine for ourselves if the Dropbox username is desired . . . or, if the original unaltered filenames are what we'd like to have to work with. Thank you. PS - If I've linked you to this message, it was because you had created or responded to a thread that included the terms File & Request. I know this may not apply to everyone, but if you think that this is a reasonable feature to add (at least, the option to not have the Dropbox user prefixed or suffixed onto the original file name), then please vote for and link other Dropbox members that you think might benefit from this feature, and promote this idea! Here is the situation: I am starting a marketplace where vendors can upload their digital art and sell it via my website. The issue is, the space on my web hosting plan will not come close to the needed space. I would like the vendors to be able to upload directly to a predetermained folder on my Dropbox Business account. I know something like this can be done, but I am having trouble figuring out how to do it. I am using OpenCart 3.0.2.0 as my shopping cart software. Hi Community I have one question: I was on a wedding and I want to create one folder where everyone can upload their pictures and videos in one place. Does everyone needs a Dropbox account to upload their pictures and videos in my folder? Or is it possible to do uploads without any dropbox account and only with one link? If you have some articles about my situation or if you know the answer, I would be very happy to hear from you. All the best and thanks for your help FilipSolved5.8KViews0likes2Commentssharing link so people can add photos

Why is the receiver of a File Request required to enter their first and last name, and their email address before they can upload the file? It's cool that they don't have to have a dropbox account to give me their file, but i don't understand what the reason would be behind requiring their name and email.Solved5.4KViews2likes7Comments
