Naming conventions are sometimes buggy in subfolders.
I have a parent folder with an automation that's supposed to rename every file in its subfolders to a certain format, but it's been very buggy on if it actually works or not... I don't know if it's just bugged or if there is a solution. I'm using file requests in every child folder if that helps.
AI driven organization of documents
As a Dropbox consumer user, I want to have my scanned documents automatically organized based on content. Use case: I have a ton of paper mail, as well as downloaded statements from credit cards. I want to scan all my paper mail using my Epson document scanner which drops the PDFs into a preselected folder in my Dropbox account. I want an AI to look at the documents (bills, statements, etc) and organize them into a folder structure that makes it easy to find them. The folder structure creation could be through a guided journey or a recommendation after uploading some minimum number of documents. Then, all subsequent mail I receive will automatically be placed into the correct folder upon scanning. Success criteria: uploaded documents are sorted into the correct folders Considerations: since there are sensitive documents being uploaded, the context for the AI agent must be kept to my account, or the data used to teach a common model must be depersonalized before use. (1) It deletes files I have downloaded to Dropbox for safekeeping without my knowledge or permission. (2) It installs my files to Dropbox without my knowledge or permission. I have written about this before, but have never received a reply. How can I get Dropbox to stop making these unauthorized moves? At the moment when you want to move or copy files/folders, you get sent back to the root directory. This becomes tedious when the files or folders that you want to move are already in the same location. I keep getting sent back to the beginning, when what I am working with is right in front of me. My current workaround is using the search functionality, but this change would do wonders for the user interface when working on the phone.
Online only option isn't working on Mac OS
Hey all, I've recently had some trouble with Dropbox files taking up hundreds of GBs on my Mac's internal storage. When I select "Make file online-only," nothing happens. My Dropbox version is 219.4.4463, and my macOS version is Sonoma 14.6.1. I’d appreciate any help! Thanks.
I can't move a folder on my account from the web or desktop
I have a folder that I'm trying to move, I've tried moving it in all of the following: Web interface MacOS Finder Windows Explorer The web version just gives me a generic error like 'cannot move folder' etc. Trying it on Mac / Windows just results in a neverending 'Snycing' process. The folder itself contains very little, only a few small files / folders Could it be corrupted in some way?
Photo updates to USB from DropBox
Hi, I’m an Emergency Services photographer, and I regularly provide USB’s filled with images of their station, trucks and personnel. Each time I receive a USB back to add new content, I have to manually delete the existing files from the USB to put the new Synced DropBox stuff onto it or manually select the rows of photos and Copy & Paste them onto the USB file. upload the updated versions, and then copy everything back onto the USB. It would be incredibly helpful to have a feature where I can simply select new content and press “Upload New Content to USB,” allowing the system to automatically update the drive with only the new additions. (I upload photos from my iPad onto the cloud then use the Dragging and Copy and Paste feature on laptop.) I’d love for this idea to be considered! - TyAllow us to select the folders whose photos we'd like to view under the Photos tab.

I accidentally moved a team folder to the Dropbox cache folder
Weird problem. I manage do move a teamcatalogue on my pc to the hidden .dropbox.cache. It schwooosed there in there with a misclick in just a few seconds. And now the catalogue is stuck there, i can't move it back (you have no permission). So my whole team account is no access. when try to open the files i get "this file is outside, just the web to get it" Any clues what to do? i am stuck.
