When I try to share a folder I get the following error: "Unable to share file: Error in call to API function /2/sharing/add_folder_member: We have paused your sharing activity. Your files may contain phishing items." I have tried to find solutions online but nothing seems to work. Can anyone help me? I can't even contact support. Thank you very much27Views0likes3CommentsMessage that my public links have been temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic.
I do have a free account and a client send me a link that I can upload and it shows this error for some reason. I checked my email and I had this email: Hi Anna, This email is an automated notification from Dropbox letting you know that your Public links have been temporarily suspended for generating excessive traffic. I click on it and its says I am banned. I made the free trial for 1 month to see if anything changes and I still cannot use it.26Views0likes2CommentsI can't see files someone uploaded to my folder with the shared link
I am the owner of a folder. I shared the folder with the link for editing. The person I shared with uploaded photos to the folder but I can't see them. I can see that the person I shared with is listed under "Who can access" but I only see what I uploaded and I can't see anything she uploaded. I've tried logging in to Dropbox on my phone and by web browser on my Mac and still nothing. I've also logged out and logged in and it that didn't help either.15Views0likes1CommentCan I no longer share files because I exceeded my daily bandwidth limit?
I shared a installation file in my public folder to transfer a 1GB file to my sister. The file was deleted after the transfer was completed. But now no one can access my shared links. I can still see in in my web browser but not in incognito mode. Did I violate a rule for sharing installation files? I know about the bandwidth cap and I am pretty sure I am way under the cap. Is there a way to see if I am banned or not? Thanks for the help.Solved18Views0likes2CommentsI add files to the desktop app, but they're using disc space, and other members can't see them.
i have mapped dropbox to my laptop and upgrading files constantly using file explorer, but it seems to 'eat' my c drive space, and thus would like to unmap it, but did not find a way, pls advice as in point 1 telling i upgrade files using my laptop file explorer to the dropbox, have done that several times, no issues for the other members to be able to see those files, until recently, uploaded again a few, took the file name from the properties, and informed the subfolder location to the other members, but this time they were not able to see those files i had earlier upgraded to dropbox, any idea why? check the file access etc info, all was okSolved31Views0likes2CommentsChanging ownership of all files owned by former team member.
Hi We plan to remove and reallocate the dropbox memberships of two team members who have left our organisation. However, they both had a bunch of shared folders which they are the listed owner of. Is there a way of seeing what all the folders a particular member owns are and changing ownership of all of them? I do have their logins as they were work accounts so could either do it via their accounts or as the admin of the team. Alternatively, if they are just deleted from the team, will the shared folders that they own also be deleted? Or will they still remain viewable to the other accounts that they are shared with. Thanks MarkSolved33Views0likes3CommentsDropbox iOS problem: Unable to share more than 3 files at once.
After my Dropbox app was automatically updated recently (version 414.3), I can no longer send more than four files at once through another app. When I select four or fewer files, it works fine, but selecting more than four prevents me from tapping the send button. My friends who also use iPhones are experiencing the same issue, but Android devices don’t seem to have this problem. (I'm using an iPhone 16 Pro.) Hello. I used to take a screenshot, it would save and I could just paste it into any chat by pressing CTRL+V. Now I can't do that, every time after I take a screenshot I have to go to the DROPBOX folder and then drag the screenshot I want into the chat. How can I get it all back? I don't need a link when copying, I need a screenshot.👿44Views0likes2CommentsBring back File Request option in File Explorer.
I used to be able to initiate a "Request Files" by right clicking on the file I wanted the documents to go into. This is more efficient that having to go to the web version, as I 99.9% work out of the File Explorer on my PC. Please bring back the option to "Request Files" in the right click menu.3.2KViews13likes49Comments
