We are small organisation where three people from the management should share documents. We decided to purchase Dropbox Business with 3 licenses. One person created the Dropbox account, and automatically became ADMIN. His email become the address used by Dropbox to communicate the issues affecting the whole team. Other people were invited by admin via invitation process. Now - in this organisation, management regularly rotate - one or more people leave the management, other people enter management. At any given time, there are at most 3 people in the management. What is the correct procedure to manage Dropbox accounts in this scenario? For example - when Admin person is replaced in the management, how to transfer ADMIN role to differrent user? Hi, I'm an administrator for our Dropbox Team. One of our employees would like to transfer ownership of a folder to another employee. He tried, and then I tried at the admin level, and followed the Help Center instructions for changing ownership. When we open the drop -down menu showing who has access to the folder, we only see "can edit" and "can view" as options, not "make owner" as suggested in the instructions. Hello, Our company’s admin Dropbox account was deleted due to locked state. However, other team members who had access to files shared from this admin account can still view them. I need to delete some of these files, but since the owner account (admin) was deleted, I no longer have control over them. When I logged back into the admin account, a new profile was created, and all previous files were missing. Is there a way to assign admin rights to one of the existing members with access to these files, so they can control and manage them as an admin? Hi Team We have the external collaborators report from DropBox which gives half the data. 1st half of the data - It gives the email addresses of external collaborators 2nd half of the data - It gives the Display name of the External collaborators and the Domain name But this data isnt useful. Hi! I am trying to get my music organization/band to use dropbox more efficiently & effectively. I have an enterprise plan but it doesn't seem like there is anywhere in the user interface for me to create or manage teams. I wanted to add phone support so I could call dropbox but i don't even see that option in my Settings console. How can i talk to someone who can help me figure this out? I'm talking to chatGPT but none of the directions i'm getting are accurately reflected in my user interface options. I have had a personal account for a long time that has 5TB of storage, and then recently this year i upgraded to a TEAMs account through Rekordbox (DJ software) which gives me and additional 10.5TB of storage, and i attempted to merge the accounts. It seems tho, that my admin options are only reflecting my personal account and not my Teams/Enterprise account. I'm running in circles on the website and need assistance. Hi I receive this email yesterday (see screenshot) stating my team is still in a locked state and if it was still in a locked state after August 15, 2024, the entire team will be deleted permanently. We have been using the free basic version for years and never had this mentioned before. I clicked the locked state link taking me to “What is locked state for teams?” help centre page. It gives me two article options – “If youclick on this linkand see a page that says,You’re about to cancel Dropbox for teams and disband the [Team name] team, the information in this article doesn’t apply to your team and you shouldread this article instead. If you see a page that says,Choose what to do with team files and accounts, then the information in this article applies to your team.” When I click on this link, I get this error message - So I don’t know if – You’re about to cancel Dropbox for teams and disband the [Team name] team; or Choose what to do with team files and accounts I then click read this article instead, which opens another tab with the “What is locked state for teams?” help centre page. The article says if my team is in a locked state, which the email says it is, that I wouldn’t be able to create or upload new files and folders, and that I wouldn’t be able to edit them. However, I can upload and edit, so is my team in a locked state? The article also says that if my team is in a locked state, I will know because I’ll see red notification banners at the top of the page on dropbox.com. As you can see from the screenshot of our dropbox page, there are no red banners. So, is my team in a locked state? Dear All We have just activated a Dropbox Business account with the standard three licenses. I successfully activated the first license (admin), and the Admin Console shows that I’ve used 1 out of 3 licenses. However, when I attempt to invite another member, the invitation email doesn’t get sent, and I receive the error message “failed to load pricing information.” (see picture) I'm at a loss for how to resolve this issue and would appreciate any guidance.
