90 TopicsAI-Powered Image Upscaling with GFAN and Hugging Face Models
I’d like to propose an exciting feature that could enhance Dropbox’s utility for managing and preserving visual media: integrating an AI-powered image upscaling tool using state-of-the-art models like GFAN and other high-quality options available on Hugging Face. Why This Feature is Valuable: Improved Image Quality: Many users store legacy photos and low-resolution images. This feature would allow users to enhance these images directly within Dropbox without requiring external tools. Convenience and Productivity: Built-in upscaling reduces the need to download, process, and re-upload images, saving time and effort. AI Integration: Leveraging GFAN and Hugging Face’s advanced models ensures exceptional upscaling quality while maintaining image authenticity. Proposed Features: One-Click Upscale: Add an option in the context menu to upscale selected images (e.g., "Enhance Image Quality"). Customizable Output: Allow users to select resolution goals (e.g., 2x, 4x) and control enhancements like noise reduction or color correction. Batch Processing: Include the ability to upscale multiple images or entire folders for bulk operations. Preview Functionality: Provide a side-by-side comparison of the original and enhanced image before confirming the upscale. Potential User Benefits: Preserve Memories: High-quality upscaling of old photos, screenshots, or scanned images for personal and professional use. Professional Appeal: Businesses and designers could use Dropbox for quick, high-quality image enhancements without relying on additional software. Competitive Edge: Dropbox would stand out as a storage service with unique value-added features. Thank you for considering this innovative addition. AI-powered image enhancements align with Dropbox’s commitment to convenience, innovation, and staying ahead of user needs.38Views1like1CommentOpen shared links directly in native app
A few years have passed since this request and as a business this would save us allot of time and irritation. As a company we share daily hundreds of links to files via Microsoft Teams with each other. Now the situation is as follow: 1 link is shared 2 team member clicks on the link 3 browser opens the link to the file 4 user clicks on 'open in dropbox' button Ideal situation would be that admins and users have a File open preference, where links to files can directly open in the native apps: 1 link is shared 2 team member clicks on it and the file is synced and opened in the native app Microsoft Teams has a great solution to this problem for Office-applications, called File open preference, see screenshot. It would be great if Dropbox could also build this feature in it's Dropbox-apps.8.1KViews17likes4CommentsMake links sent via the Slack integration open to the actual asset
It’s right there in the headline. And this is less of an “Idea” than it is baseline, expected behavior that is missing from this integration. The current implementation is useless, because it always forces the user to open in web, then save a duplicate. You can see that this might run counter to the WHOLE IDEA of a sync-and-share platform.948Views1like4CommentsAdd support to deploy Dropbox via MDM
Small and large companies use MDM's, like Microsoft Intune, to manage their devices. As Dropbox has a focus on companies, it's one of the only apps that 1: doesn't offer an app to install via MDM for Mac and Windows, 2: doesn't support script for auto account login via MDM. Dropbox does support EMM, but that doesn't to the trick for most companies. I'm quite happy with what Replay has to offer so far but there is one function missing that I feel is super important especially if we become a long time user - A search function. Currently I guess the only way to search all videos quickly would be to upload files to Dropbox first before importing to Replay to use the search function there but it's an extra step in our workflow that we don't want to have to do.Adding this function may see us fully migrate from Vimeo to Dropbox.2KViews0likes6CommentsUse alt text in the website preview 'info' pane
As you know the inclusion of ALT TEXT is becoming more and more important due to regulations made in consideration of those who may have accessibility challenges. First of all, in Dropbox, the INFO pane that appears next to an image does not include the ALT TEXT section that is now a part of the IPTC standard. What would be nice is to be able to access the INFO section for an image (or a group of images) and edit the IPTC. This would include the ability to add or edit the ALT TEXT section within Dropbox itself. Perhaps there is a way to add ALT TEXT automatically to images within dropbox using Dropbox AI? This would be most helpful. Just a thought....thank you.1.2KViews1like3Comments
