I have Dropbox on my home computer and on my work computer. I have them synced. However, I am changing jobs and would like to delete Dropbox--and all files and folders--from my work computer only (preserving that data on my home computer). How can I do this safely? I'm worried that once I delete the files on one computer, the other computer will sync to it and I'll lose all of the files on both computers, which would be a disaster. Please inform. Thank you.3.4KViews0likes6CommentsWhy is it so complicated to remove folders from DB? Is there a simple way to do that?
It seems I am near my 2 GB space limit, so being pushed to upgrade, however I really no longer need DB at all. I have read a lot of posts here relating to this problem and most are double dutch to me. 🤔 I do NOT want to download 2GB of DB data, I just need to delete 2 GB of DB data. Then remove DB from my Windows PC. HOW?Solved2KViews0likes12CommentsPlease confirm that deleting the Dropbox account will not remove photos from iPad or Phone.
Hi there, I am working with a client who wishes to delete his dropbox account. It is currently storing copies of files from his laptop, and photographs from his iPad and mobile. I have copied the files from the DropBox folder of his laptop to a folder on his C drive. Please can someone definitively confirm that DropBox mobile simply creates a back-up of photos and does not remove them from the device. Please confirm that deleting and closing his DropBox account will have no impact on the photos stored on his phone. He has never deleted any photographs from his mobile that he wishes to keep so that is not an issue. Every web search I have done confirms the above, but none of the information is direct from DropBox and the chat bot pre-programmed responses are not applicable. I used Dropbox extensively when I ran a consulting company. But now I am retired and do not need Dropbox--just OneDrive on my PC and iCloud on my Mac are enough. Right now Dropbox is frozen and not synching for some time. How do I delete Dropbox on my Mac and still make sure no files are lost? Thank you in advance.217Views0likes1Comment
