When trying to integrate a Dropbox-hosted file into my platform, I encountered an issue with generating and sharing the direct download link. While Dropbox provides a shareable URL, the default link redirects users to a preview page instead of triggering an automatic download. For seamless integration, I need a direct download link that eliminates extra steps for the user. Steps I followed: Uploaded the file to Dropbox successfully. Generated the shareable link (format: https://www.dropbox.com/s/uniqueid/filename?dl=0). Modified the link to ?dl=1 for direct download. However, when embedding the modified link into my platform, some users report errors like broken downloads or file inaccessibility. I have set up a new computer. Downloaded the Dropbox desktop app, same as previous computer. I am running Office365. Now all Word documents that are stored in DP are showing corrupted. I can login to DP directly and open the document but when I try to open through my DP shortcut on file explorer. Word docs will not open directly. The solution has been to open the document from DP and then re-save it on the computer in DP. So I still have access to the docs but it's very inconvenient. Is there a solution that would allow my documents to all update at once and be available again from the file explorer shortcut?I can't see my folders in offline only mode on Mac OS 15.1
I have a new install on a Mac (Sequoia 15.1). I opted to keep all my folders offline on the install. However in the Mac finder no folders are visible, only individual folders. On the webapp they are all there. I want selective sync and decide after the install what I want kept locally.
