After my Dropbox app was automatically updated recently (version 414.3), I can no longer send more than four files at once through another app. When I select four or fewer files, it works fine, but selecting more than four prevents me from tapping the send button. My friends who also use iPhones are experiencing the same issue, but Android devices don’t seem to have this problem. (I'm using an iPhone 16 Pro.) Same here. On my iphone when I select several pictures and choose save to Dropbox, it would tell me if there was a duplicate. In the last day or so, it stopped giving me that warning and instead places multiple copies of the file with a (x) suffix on the filename.29Views0likes4CommentsAdding photos from my iPhone. Backup vs uploading
I am trying to add all my photos from my iPhone 16 to Dropbox in order to delete them off of my phone. if I only use the backup feature can I do the above? Or do I have to upload each photo where I have to click each photo and it only allows 400 at a time? can you explain the difference like I’m 2 please. Because in my mind the way i understand is you’re suppose to use the backup feature for new photos so it saves going forward but if I put for all photos (since I’m new here) it should save them all. And the upload is like a second option41Views0likes2CommentsLive Photos are still not being uploaded on iOS
According to this other thread, the feature has been delivered but the iOS app still doesn't support Live Photos from camera uploads. Photos are still uploaded as static images. What am I missing? https://www.dropboxforum.com/idea/101002013/automatic-upload-of-live-photos/569242?topicRepliesSort=postTimeDesc51Views0likes5CommentsWhere is the camera uploads setting to change .heic to .jpg on iOS?
I have been using Dropbox for a long time. It worked I never had to change anything from my initial setup. On going from Windows 10 to 11 my camera uploads changed from .jpg to .heic. Most of my use for Dropbox is uploading photos from my iPhone. I have searched through the setting menus on the Desktop App, the taskbar as Dropbox is always open and the web. I can't find the thing. Where is this camera setting?53Views0likes10Comments"There was an issue communicating with your photo library" when uploading photos on iOS
Hi, I have always been able to upload my photos from my iPhone to the Dropbox app. Over the past several months it has been working. I am getting an error message - There was an issue communication with your photo library. I have already deleted the app and reinstalled it twice. I have restarted my phone and turned my wifi on and off. Any other things I should try? Thank you!19Views0likes1CommentMy GarageBand project files keep getting deleted/renamed when adding them to Dropbox.
Dropbox stores the garageband projects as packages (.pkgf) instead of .band files, which so far doesn't seem to cause any problems. Is garageband just renaming them to a generic format or is it actually something different? I'm having an issue with anything new I create in garageband on my phone and later copy into dropbox, the file either disappears completely or renames itself (greyed out) until I open dropbox and rename the file. I would like to get the files off my phone, I used to use iCloud for storage but it stopped synchronizing correctly with windows 10 for me last year. I run a daily backup from my computer to an external hard drive so I have multiple backups, but I currently don't trust iCloud or dropbox for my garageband projects. Curious if anyone could provide any feedback on their experience using dropbox to store garageband projects. Ever had an issue trying to reopen a .pkgf file into garageband?72Views0likes8CommentsCan I upload whole albums and preserve the names?
Hi! I recently switched to iPhone and was unable to transfer photos from my Android to my new phone, hence why I’m here. I need a good place to store all my photos so that they are easily accessible on all devices. I have my photos VERY organized on my Android and was wondering if I could transfer them to Dropbox and KEEP THEM IN THE ALBUMS they are currently in… It seems they are simply coming over one by one out of the albums. This is extremely frustrating. Especially because I’m dealing with iPhones idiotic idea of phone storage (you move a photo to an album and it STAYS in the camera roll!! It just becomes a copy-I don’t want it in 2 places. I need it organized and in ONE. Anyway…) Any way to do this?483Views1like2CommentsI'm having issues renaming scanned files in the iOS Dropbox app
I use Dropbox App on my iPhone a lot for scanning. I scan the file, then select Rename and change to what I want the name to be. Today I scanned a document and clicked on Rename. I had the name in the edit box and several suggestions below that I could select, but there was no keyboard for backspace where I could put in the name I wanted. This just started today. After I scanned the document. I opened DropBox on my Mac and easily changed the file name. Needless to say this is a hassle using two devices to scan then change the name! Any help would be appreciated.265Views0likes3Comments
