Support for DropBox Bussiness
Hi all.
I need to add support for Dropbox Business in our existing integration. And I have to switch the existing Dropbox app from the access permissions model to utilizing scopes.
I want to make sure that I don't have to create new app for that and I can use my existing app.
Thanks in advance for your replies!

Yes you can upgrade your permissions to include team scopes and this will not require creating a new app. Adjusting scopes and permissions for your application will require users to re-authorize the app.
Additionally, please keep in mind that usage of the Business API by your app will now require it being authorized by a Team Admin instead of individual users.
You can also review our blog post on migrating permissions and tokens here.
- HannahDropbox StaffHey alextanalextan, welcome to our Community!
Would you mind clarifying what you'd like to do? Would you like to upgrade to Dropbox Business to have live support available?
And can you please elaborate on what you'd like to do with the Dropbox app a bit more?
Thanks!- alextanalextanExplorer | Level 3
Hi @Hannah. Thanks for the quick response.
Currently, we have integration with Dropbox in our product, which allows our users to watch/add files from/to Dropbox within our product. We have users who use Dropbox Bussiness, but the application we have registered doesn't allow them to get benefits of Dropbox Bussiness for example watch team folders.
Now we want to add some scopes (Team_data.member, Team_data.team_space), by which users can allow our product to get their team folders for them.
The question here is that can we still use our existing registered application?
Thank you.P. S. Sorry if I have chosen the wrong group for the question.

alextanalextan It's also worth noting that if you just want to access the contents of team folders/spaces, you don't actually need to add "team" scopes to your app. An app with the individual user scopes, such as files.content.read, can be connected to Business and non-Business accounts alike. You don't need team_data.member or team_data.team_space to access team files/folders, for example, to download a file. You can see which scope is required for each endpoint in the documentation. I also recommend reading the Team Files Guide for information on how to access team folders/spaces.
