Photos tab in the iOS app does not display .dng ProRAW photos
Hi,
On my iPhone 15 Pro I am taking photos in ProRAW format. Photos are saved with extension .dng. I am using the Dropbox app's Camera Upload feature which successfully uploads these ProRAW .dng files to my Camera Uploads folder, but if I tap on the Photos tab in the app, it does not show these photos.
Can support for displaying .dng files in the Photos tab please be considered?
To replicate, on an iPhone that supports the ProRAW photo format and with the Dropbox iOS app installed and Camera Uploads turned on:
1. Enable 'ProRAW & Resolution Control' in Settings > Camera > Formats (I am using 'ProRAW Max')
2. Snap a photo
3. Open the Dropbox app. The new photo should be automatically uploaded to the Camera Uploads folder
4. Browse to the Camera Uploads folder to see the new photo exists
5. Browse to the Photos tab and notice that the new photo is not displayed.
iPhone 15 Pro
iOS 17.1.1
Dropbox iOS app version 354.4.2
Thanks,
Jonny

Additionally, the Photos tab in the web interface of Dropbox also seemingly does not display photos of *.dng. But to reiterate, they are uploaded via the Camera Uploads feature and do exist in the Camera Uploads folder.

Hi Megan, thanks for replying.
Yes, it does appear to affect all my .dng photos. I looked back for older dng files from 2+ years ago on previous iPhones and they also do not display in the Photos tab.
I have some 'ProRAW Max' photos that are ~60MB. I tried switching to 'ProRAW 12 MP' and those photos dropped to ~20MB.
Are you suggesting that this is not a global issue and may be only affecting me? Even if the file sizes are quite large, the Photos tab should still display all photos from my Camera Uploads folder right? I have no such problem with photos with file extensions .heic or .jpg.
Thanks.
