I have a cookbook in Dropbox so I can share it with my grandchildren. I created a new recipe today Potato Soup in Word and saved it to Dropbox. It shows up on my HP laptop where I created and saved it, but I went to Dropbox on my iPhone so I could create a link and text it to them, but it doesn't show up on my iPhone. The rest of the cookbook is on my iPhone.49Views0likes6CommentsMissing photo from shared folder after exporting it to my mobile device
Hi, I was trying to save a photo to my phone from a shared folder. However, when I pressed the 'Save to device' button and chose the album on my phone where I wanted the picture to be saved in, the picture vanished from the dropbox folder and it didn't load to my phone either. Can the picture be restored somehow and how can I avoid this in the future?109Views0likes1CommentMobile pages are not user-friendly for seniors.
I am unable to contact Dropbox customer service, so I am expressing my opinion here. Today, I was helping my mother share a 600MB audio file with her friends, trying to achieve a similar experience between Android and iOS using Dropbox. However, many elderly users rarely use services like Dropbox, and today I encountered some issues: Cookie Consent The annoying cookie consent UI, although required by international regulations, could be placed at the top of the window or as a small pop-up. It shouldn't interfere with user operations, as it disrupts the overall workflow. App Version or Browser UI Both the app version and the browser version cover the entire page with prompts, similar to many other services, offering no innovation. Couldn't a bubble notification be used to remind users that using the mobile app would provide a better experience, without blocking the entire screen? Is it possible to exclude certain folders from the search function? I have a lot of files in my school folder when I was in college but I don’t want this folder to be searched when I search for files. I use dropbox on my iPhone by the way. I'm a starting out video editor, I use drop box for transferring materials between me and my client. My first client commissioned me for a speed paint and it went very smoothly. The folder I created was synced between the 2 of us and we had equal control over the folder. My client has commissioned me again and we went through the same process. I created a folder with unrestricted access between me and my client. The client uploaded her raw video footage to the folder and I downloaded it. I was able to preview the video from dropbox just fine but when I download it, it's always an error. Things iv already tried • updated my phone (turns out I needed a a software update • check dropbox for updates • uninstall & install again ( in the same vein as turning off and turning back on) • ask my client to download the same video on her end and or let a trusted friend download it (they're having trouble as well, so I know it's not a network connection issue) • I uploaded an original video from my phone to see if it was only my clients video or if the issue is all videos ( it's all videos, pictures have no trouble) • iv restarted my phone • iv checked official reports for drop box server maintenance or server errors just to be sure. Everything is fine, so I'm confused if me, my client and my clients friend is some how doing something wrong • i went to the previous project folder bc my client has commissioned me twice now, all the videos in the previous folder are having trouble downloading too.486Views0likes1CommentCan't download large files to my Android phone using the Dropbox app
So I can upload photos, and download on my cell phone Using the drop box app. A file that is 6 gig that I want to download to my phone using the drop box app wont even try! I have to log onto the Dropbox website login and download using the web based Google app. Drop box app is broken or am I missing something? Drop box hates large files and won't let me download but small files are fine....267Views0likes3CommentsPhotos tab previewing comments, and wishes to locate files using geolocation.
OneDrive has a feature where it syncs photos across Galaxy devices - so a photo taken on my phone, can be viewed in the Gallery app on my tablet - as well as on my computer or online. I currently have Dropbox Plus to backup all my photos, but the photo viewing experience in the Dropbox app is terrible - no searching by location (on a map), slow and painful due to no cached thumbnails, etc. I really prefer giving my money to an independent company like Dropbox, but double handling my photos is becoming a real pain (if I delete a photo from dropbox, I have to separately delete it from Gallery as well). Please don't make my swap my data storage needs to Microsoft!854Views0likes6Comments
