This is the situation as you stated:
"Just to clarify, if you go to your iPhone’s Library > All Photos, does the new image you just saved not appear there at all? Does it only show under the new “Dropbox” album that has been created?"

2 months agoThanks for clarifying! Did you notice when this started happening exactly? Is this something that changed with the latest Dropbox app update, for example?
If you're not on a free Basic plan with more than 3 devices currently linked, you can reinstall the Dropbox app as the next troubleshooting step and try saving another photo to your phone's library to see if the issue persists.

It happened for the first time today - I am not aware of any update unless it was and auto update. I am using the free basic plan. Thanks.

If you open the Photos app on your iPhone again, can you see a “Recently saved” option at the bottom, by any chance?
Are you able to see the new Dropbox photos you’ve downloaded from the Dropbox app, if you go there?
