Is it possible to exclude certain folders from the search function? I have a lot of files in my school folder when I was in college but I don’t want this folder to be searched when I search for files. I use dropbox on my iPhone by the way. I am trying to download an mp4 file to my iPhone and get the error "Couldn't Save, Sorry, this type of video cannot be saved to this device." I have removed the Dropbox app, restarted my phone and re-downloaded the app. No luck. I have also cleared the cash. Still no luck. Google has been no help. I'm sure I am not the only one with this issue...please help 🙂 Thank you!7.2KViews0likes7CommentsMy .pages documents don't show all elements when I view them on my iOS devices.

Hi All! I notice that on my iPhone in the Dropbox App, the option to "Save to Device" is missing when viewing Photos. Has it been removed or moved elsewhere? It used to appear in the menu when you click the three dots at the top right corner. (See KB article here: https://help.dropbox.com/installs/export-files-mobile) Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I found it a very handy way of transferring photos from other devices to my phone to send to friends.2KViews1like8CommentsSearch Results Limit on iOS
Dear Dropbox, I've been a paying subscriber for over a decade, now. Great product! I have discovered one curious aspect of your iOS product that has proven frustrating in practice. When searching for a file, I'm limited to only 100 results. Most of the time this is fine, but there are occasions when I'm searching for a file that is for work and there are far more than 100 results. As a consequence of this limited display of results, I am unable to find the file and share it with a colleague. Given that the entire point of Dropbox is to share files, this is highly frustrating. There is no such limit on the desktop integration, of course, so it's quite a thorn to be so restricted on iOS. Perhaps the app could include a search results option that allows the user to display more than 100 results? Default could still be 100, that's fine, but at least allow the user to select more when needed. Maybe something like 100, 1000, and 2500 or some such? At the risk of sounding foolish, it seems like this would be a fairly simple change, would not break the app, and would allow users the ability to continue using Dropbox in their workflows as needed. Thanks again for an otherwise great service. Keep up the good work. JP441Views0likes1CommentPhotos randomly disappear from my iPhone mobile app.
I have been storing my pix in Dropbox for years with no problem, but lately I’ve found that a lot of the pix on my iPhone do not show up, though they are still in the files I created in Dropbox on my laptop. I just clicked on some files at random to test this. In some, I can see all the pix. Others show up as empty. and in a few cases, I could see the photos when I opened the files on my phone but then they immediately disappeared, leaving an empty folder that said it had zero kb of content. Pretty sure it is only photos, not other kinds of media, that are disappearing. What is causing that and how can the pix to start showing up again on my phone?Solved440Views0likes3CommentsNothing happens when I tap on the PDF comments on my new iPad.
Help! Here's what I've got going on. I have a 2,500 page PDF (yes, you read that right) I need to review and put comments in to. I received this as a shared link from the original owner. I have begun reviewing this document and entering comments while I was on my PC. I am trying to access dropbox on my iPad. It is a new iPad pro that's about two weeks old, so everything is up-to-date and modern. I go to that shared file and see comments, however, clicking on the comments does nothing (on the iPad). Normally, it would jump to the page and the comment's highlighted text or location on the aforementioned page, however that functionality does not appear to be present for the iPad version. Is there something I am missing, or rather, is there something that Dropbox is missing...? again, this functionality for me is 100% necessary as this is a 2500 page document and I am probably going to enter a total of about 250 comments, and it is necessary to have the "jump-to-page" functionality.326Views0likes1CommentHow can I select all photos at once on my iPad?
can anyone help me transferring photos from Dropbox into Photo Library on my iPad - it seems possible to transfer one at a time but with over 160 pics to transfer, time consuming - is there any way of selecting all at once? thanks335Views0likes2Comments
