I've noticed an issue with exporting/sharing audio files over the last few months, from Dropbox into iMessage. I often share audio files for work, and I go into the app, click share, then export file. Recently when I do this my audio files are getting compressed and severely downgraded in quality. I've also noticed file size going from 8-9mb to 2-3mb. The degrading of quality is a major problem. this bug seems to be continuing and would love to have it reported to the team!30Views0likes5CommentsApps in iPhone say my Dropbox is empty
Hello! Whenever I try to attach a file saved in Dropbox from an app (for instance, WhatsApp message, or Mail app) in my iPhone (iOS 18.1), the app says my Dropbox is empty, although it is fully synced in my phone. Interestingly, from the Messages app I'm able to attach a file and if I open the Dropbox app and select to export a file to WhatsApp or Mail, it works. I've tried disabling and enabling Dropbox from the Browse option, clearing history and website data and restarting the phone, and nothing worked. Any suggestions? Thank you!10Views0likes1CommentExclude folders when searching for content in my mobile app.
Is it possible to exclude certain folders from the search function? I have a lot of files in my school folder when I was in college but I don’t want this folder to be searched when I search for files. I use dropbox on my iPhone by the way. Hi All! I notice that on my iPhone in the Dropbox App, the option to "Save to Device" is missing when viewing Photos. Has it been removed or moved elsewhere? It used to appear in the menu when you click the three dots at the top right corner. (See KB article here: https://help.dropbox.com/installs/export-files-mobile) Any suggestions would be appreciated, as I found it a very handy way of transferring photos from other devices to my phone to send to friends.2KViews1like8CommentsSearch Results Limit on iOS
Dear Dropbox, I've been a paying subscriber for over a decade, now. Great product! I have discovered one curious aspect of your iOS product that has proven frustrating in practice. When searching for a file, I'm limited to only 100 results. Most of the time this is fine, but there are occasions when I'm searching for a file that is for work and there are far more than 100 results. As a consequence of this limited display of results, I am unable to find the file and share it with a colleague. Given that the entire point of Dropbox is to share files, this is highly frustrating. There is no such limit on the desktop integration, of course, so it's quite a thorn to be so restricted on iOS. Perhaps the app could include a search results option that allows the user to display more than 100 results? Default could still be 100, that's fine, but at least allow the user to select more when needed. Maybe something like 100, 1000, and 2500 or some such? At the risk of sounding foolish, it seems like this would be a fairly simple change, would not break the app, and would allow users the ability to continue using Dropbox in their workflows as needed. Thanks again for an otherwise great service. Keep up the good work. JP442Views0likes1CommentPhotos randomly disappear from my iPhone mobile app.
I have been storing my pix in Dropbox for years with no problem, but lately I’ve found that a lot of the pix on my iPhone do not show up, though they are still in the files I created in Dropbox on my laptop. I just clicked on some files at random to test this. In some, I can see all the pix. Others show up as empty. and in a few cases, I could see the photos when I opened the files on my phone but then they immediately disappeared, leaving an empty folder that said it had zero kb of content. Pretty sure it is only photos, not other kinds of media, that are disappearing. What is causing that and how can the pix to start showing up again on my phone?Solved446Views0likes3Comments
