View prior contents of enclosing folders

I'm a novice in terms of using Dropbox for anything other than syncing my devices. So this question is probably a Dropbox 101 type.

I'd like to view several folders at different points in history. Within the past 30 days.

I thought I found the applicable help suggestion but it didn't work.

Thanks for any help.

Hi there norm3 - thanks for using Dropbox and posting on our Community!

If you're referring to files and not folders, I'd assume you're referring to the version history feature - correct me if I'm wrong please.

As for any changes to your folders, you can take a look at your events page or the file activity too.

    I hope this helps!

      I'm talking about folders.

Thanks for those links. I'll  take a look.

I can't figure out how to use the activity tracking link. I guess I'm Dropbox challenged.

The instructions don't make sense to me. Is there something more detailed or written by someone else?

    Thanks for the help.

What exactly is troubling you norm3? Are you having an issue with a specific step or process?

Here you go from this beginner:

Again I'm trying to view past versions of a folder not a file so I'm replacing file with folder in the instructions you included for Activity.

Don't know how to open a Preview of the folder

Don't find Folders in the top-left corner.

So I don't get off the dime.

Thanks very much for the help on this very basic mission.
