Visibility of IP Accessing Shared Files and Folders

Hi all,

if somebody shares files and folders with me, is the file/folder sharer able to see the IP address from where I access the data or download the data automatically?

Thank you in advance.

GNops

  • Hey there gnopscorp, thanks for reaching out!

You would only be able to see this info for downloaded files/folders if the content belongs to a Business team.

The admin of a Business team can check out more specific info for file actions through the admin console.

For files/folders shared from personal accounts (Basic, Plus or Professional), the owner of the content wouldn't be able to see this info.

Let me know if this helps!
