error uploading images to drobox paper
dropbox-paper is very helpful for me!
but now its making problems', its not uploading true images.
here is a screen shot:
- 4 years agoIt's possible that this could be the cause of what you're experiencing.
Unless you get access to a stable WiFi connection, I'd recommend uploading to your Dropbox account directly and then adding the files to your Paper doc from there.

Hello Dropbox community!
I've been using Dropbox Paper for awhile now and I've never had a problem until today. When I try to add a screenshot to paper, it gives me this:
My laptop is hard wired and I've restarted the computer and browser twice. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hey Magill3179 & Stefanwork - thank you both for your reports.
Since you've already done some troubleshooting, as a last troubleshooting step could you try another wifi network and let us know if you still get the same error?
Thanks!

I am WFH and have only my home wi-fi network. When I next go into the office, I'll try the network there and report back. That may take at least a week. By the way, I was able to insert images into Dropbox Paper from home last week. I updated a particular page with images. However, as of today, I am unable to do so. The only difference between last week's work and today is that, after my work week ended, I updated macOS to 12.5.1. Perhaps that is a clue.

Walter, a coworker informs me he cannot upload images either. He gets the same error message. He works from home too. Like I, he was able to do this "just the other day."
His macOS: 12.2.1.

Walter, what is your experience trying this? 😉
That is, is it systemwide or something...

Adding new images to my Dropbox Paper doesn't preview the images for me anymore.
It's saying "Couldn't load Preview" - Magill31793 years agoNew member | Level 2
That's what happens with me. The image shows up for about three seconds and then I get a message saying "Couldn't load preview".

@Stefanwork. Thank you so much for responding!
I'm not using Wi-Fi, I'm hard-lined directly to the modem. I can everything in Paper except load a screenshot.

Update: If I paste a Dropbox URL for an image onto a blank Paper doc, the image will appear and remain visible above the URL (see screen shot). I can then delete the URL text from the page and still retain the image on the page.
However, that is an inelegant way to post images on a Paper page — and as others have confirmed, the Insert Image method is not working as expected, or even as it has recently.

@Stefanwork. Unfortunately, that won't work. We always have multiple screenshots on one page.
Any idea why it just stopped working? It was working fine this morning...
Thanks again for your help! I appreciate it!!

You can paste URLs to multiple screen shots on one page. I pasted several image URLs and got previews for all of them, including PDFs. It appears to be our only workaround for now until Dropbox fixes the issue of uploading images to a page. (Like you, I could do that just fine until yesterday.)
