Whenever I transfer files from my desktop into my Dropbox, they appear to move successfully initially, then a couple days later the files are no longer available in Dropbox. The folders that I transferred are there, but they're 100% empty. All the files are gone. Anybody know why this is happening or how to prevent it?518Views0likes9CommentsI can't delete files or drag them into my Dropbox account.
Hi all, I can no longer add files into my dropbox, I have plenty of storage. I currently have the Basic Dropbox plan. In the midst of uploading photos to Dropbox on the PC, the storage is now full and will not let me access Dropbox to delete/move files. I do not want to upgrade my plan as I plan to move all of the photos from Dropbox to my other photo files. How can I access Dropbox when the storage is full without upgrading? Thank you.343Views0likes1Commentphoto managing and upload automatic from phone
Hi everyone, I am looking for a smart way to store and manage photos in dropbox. What I currently do is separating in "albums" the pictures I take with my phone (android - xiaomi 12 pro). And then every month or so I plug my usb cable "phone-to-laptop" and manually upload these "albums" from the phone to the dropbox website, in a folder that I've created where I've organized the pictures in subfolders by year, activity etc... This folder is only online. A quite vintage operation, I am aware of that. So I am here to ask some advice either to automatize this uploading process or improve it in other ways. I have seen that there is a "Photo" application in my dropbox but there is a bunch of images which looks like have just been thrown there without any order (looks like the order is "by last modified date") and is not what I want (or anybody, I guess). So, to wrap up, is there a way to upload the phone's photo albums/folders in dropbox while keeping the possibility to delete the photos from the phone and still have them in the cloud? When sending a picture to dropbox, the option to change name is including the file ending (type/suffix) like jpg or heic. To avoid changing that one has to manually select only the name and then save. Two extra unnecessary irritating steps. Only the name should be preselected. Please fix 🤓492Views0likes2CommentsBug when adding a file in a folder and change the name of the folder
Hi!! I think i found a bug. to replicate it: 1- create a folder, name it ' folder 1' and add a file. 2- change the name of the folder to 'folder 2' while the file is uploading (or in the queue) 3- create a new folder with name 'folder 1'. Expected: the file is in the folder 'folder 2' But the file is being saved in the second folder, the one with name 'folder 1'. Probably its matching with the name instead of matching with the id, somehow I also tried when the file is already in the folder (not uploading/ queue) and it works perfectly in that case. Some weeks ago I started uploading a file from an external harddrive to my DB, which turned out to be too big. DB offered me to buy more space with a free 7 day trial, which I decided to try out. The file however took so long to upload that I in the end aborted it and decided not to pay for the subscription after the free trial. Now DB keeps telling me I've run out of space, but I haven't been able to find the partially uploaded file anywhere to be able to delete it. I have only very few files in my DB, so I didn't overlook it. I'm also not part of any group that uploads much so that someone else could have taken up my space. How do I find that file and free up my space? I've already closed DB and restarted the laptop many times, that doesn't help.Solved1.8KViews0likes2Comments
