Hacked document won’t delete from my Dropbox account.

I was emailed a Dropbox document which is saved to my Dropbox. I couldn’t open it as it just went to a non loading page. I emailed the sender asking to resend and they told me there email was hacked and I should delete the file. I have tried to delete it but it appears I am not able to delete its

    When you say that this document was already saved to your Dropbox account, do you mean before you receive the most recent email asking you to add it to your account? 

     

    Also, when you try to delete the file, do you get any specific errors on your end? 

     

    Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

      Hi Megan,

      Thanks for getting back to me.
      When I received the document, I couldn’t open it so I saved it to my files. And when I try to delete it, there is no option to delete, just ‘open’.
