My account was moved into a Team, and then I was deleted from it. Now I'm missing my files.
Hi, I have a problem, I hope someone here can help me. I have a very old Dropbox account that I have been working with for many years. the other day a work colleague sent me a collaboration invitation for a test we had to do and suddenly my account with all my data was moved to another folder, when he deleted his because it wasn't suitable for the work we had to do suddenly mine disappeared too, he kicked me out of all the accounts, deleted all my data and moreover the 10 GB that I had accumulated over the years with invitations to friends now I have the basic 2 pack GB. How can I recover my data?

You accepted an invite to join his Business Team. Therefore your account and data 'became owned by the Team'. You are warned lots of times this will happen, and infact, the onboarding almost tries to force you to not do it and use a new email.
The only way to resolve this is to get him to remove you from the team NOTE this is not delete, but remove you from it. This should get you the data etc. back: https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/convert-to-individual

OK more thank's. Can you give me mail or phone number of the Team admin?
I had 10 GB in the free version, because I have been using it for many years and having invited many people they gave me the space with each invitation. now it brought me back to the basic 2 Gb one.

thanks so much for the help. The team is no longer there as we had done a test, is there a way to recover from my account and exclude me from the team? that was a test, no €600 per year subscription was taken out; now we have taken the business one €119 per year
