What does the yellow icon on offlined files on the mobile app mean?

I have dropbox for Iphone. What does yellow icon with ! inside means on the right of some files? I have searched the web but no one seems to be able to provide answer. Help please

  • Hey josedavidch, welcome to our community!

It seems that you are looking at some of your offline files. The yellow exclamation point means that a newer version of your file or folder is available (it has been updated). Tapping the refresh icon on iOS syncs these changes. Here’s more info on offline files.

    Have a great weekend :sunglasses:

Same problem... I’m traveling since 3 weeks now with just my iphone and this problem occurs to some pdf files I downloaded and made them available offline. They are just pdf and is impossible that the yellow esclamation mark means that the files are changed... is a bug

Sorry to hear about this Mikom - could you clear your app's cache and let me know if you're still seeing this?

To do this on iOS (assuming you're already using our latest version of the mobile app):
        1. Navigate to the “Personal” tab
        2. Tap the gear icon in the upper-left corner of the screen
        3. Select “Clear Cache”

Once this is done then please ensure you log out of the Dropbox application, then restart your device and log back in again.

Keep me posted on your findings!

PS: If the problem persists, a screenshot would be much appreciated so we can have a better view of the matter at hand.
