Installed Dropbox beta on MacOS preview as well.
I have the process DropboxFileProvider consuming 100% CPU.
Enable to access control panel.
HELP !!!

I'm experiencing the same issues (v161.2.3938). fileproviderd eats my CPU alive. MacBook Pro M2.
Further, some apps like QuickLook preview in Finder no longer work correctly as the files aren't really there, they are streamed on demand, but not always?
All in all, this new version is borderline unusable. If this doesn't get resolved I'll just move my remaining files to iCloud Drive.

Sorry to hear that :/. A few questions to help us with debugging:
- Is `fileproviderd` constantly using a lot of CPU? While this is happening, is Dropbox reporting that it is "Synced"?
- re: QuickLook, we continue to support rendering preview images for files that are not available locally. Was there a specific file type that you noticed was affected?
