How can I stop the app from downloading offline files?

I hace requested to have a to large number of files to become available offline. Can I stop the action as I kmow I have not sufficient space on m’y Mac 
desktop
Storage space
sync

    Have you tried marking those files as online-only in order to reverse the previous action?
