How do I disable Dropbox Capture and still save my screenshots to my account?
The title says it all. Dropbox capture is the worst "upgrade" I have ever encountered. It adds extra steps to my workflow and is utterly useless to me. I simply want my screen shots to save to my drop box screenshot directory
How do I do this? I cannot find the actual directory to which the screen shots are saved to. I can change the screen shot destination easily from the command line
I have solved this problem. First disable screenshots in dropbox preferences. then go to the finder and add a shortcut from the dropbox screenshot folder to the side bar. Finally press shift-command-5 and open the options menu from the floating bar that appears at the bottom of the screen. In the options menu select "other locations" and finally click on the "screenshots" shortcut in the quick access bar on the left of the finder window that shows up. Your screen shots will now store to your dropbox but you will get the Mac screen shot window when you capture a screen shot.
Thanks for nothing Dropbox Support. I wasted an hour in a chat window and ended up solving the problem for myself when they should have already known this.
