Have you tried reinstalling the Dropbox desktop application to see if this helps with the sync icons on your device?
This will help me to assist further!

Hello,
Yes I reinstalled it but without success. I even removed my icon cache but nothing seems to be helping. I have this on both Ubuntu installs.

Second update:
I fired up two VM's running Ubuntu, one 20.04 and the other 22.04. It seems like when adding your Dropbox account and syncing for the first time the sync icon still works but when Dropbox downloaded all the files and syncing is up to date the icons disappear.
