As long as you're using a view-only shared link, they should be able to close the modal and continue to the file. What happens when they tap the X?

    I don't know - just had people say they could not view file as it required Dropbox install and they did not want to add software.  I'll ask.

      Previoulsy file would appear as an icon in FB or messenger - now it's a link to install s/w

      How do I get back to sharing as a icon of the file ?

        sargan, did you ask the users and they said there’s no option to continue with downloading only? 

        In this case, I’d like a screenshot of what they see exactly on their end, so that I can check this further.
