This does not make sense; from the Help Center article you provided above, can you check the app's current syncing status
Dropbox is still not syncing automatically with my desktop folder

Do you see a little Dropbox icon next to your WiFi on your task bar? If so, would you mind hovering your mouse there and letting me know the app's status right now?
Also, we have a new stable build out at the moment. Can you update your app, and let me know how it goes?

Is the Share Build a beta? Hesitant to download any version with more bugs than I have now.

Dropbox isnt running then and as such cannot sync - because the app is closed 🙂
Either reopen it or reinstall via www.dropbox.com/downloading
Also, the link for Stable Build didn't have an app to download. It was just a page of community rules.
It was syncing 12 hours ago. I don't think I need a new app.

I reinstated the link in my previous response. You should be able to click there, and find our latest stable version.
If you're not able to locate your little Dropbox icon, then you'd need to reinstall the app. Don't worry though!
That won't sync your files anew. It'll simply re-establish the connection of our app.
