906 TopicsDoes the file request upload size limit affect trial plans?
The documentation states the following, but despite multiple attempts to upload a 250GB file through the file request feature, it consistently results in an error and the upload does not complete. Since we are currently conducting a Proof of Concept (PoC) and using the Dropbox Business Plus Trial plan, could this limitation be due to the trial version? Customers on Dropbox Professional, Essentials, Business, Business Plus, Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise can receive files up to 250GB in size. What’s the best way to sync large files across multiple devices in Dropbox without running into storage limits or slow upload speeds? Are there specific settings or features that can help optimize this process?Solved426Views0likes3CommentsI tried to upload a folder via file request, but nothing happened. Has it been uploaded?
I have received a file request from another user, to upload a folder into his storage "area". I got the email, clicked the link, and got a window with a file submission area. I pressed the upload button. There was no response, no "upload started" or "progress" message. I cannot tell if the folder is being uploaded or has been uploaded. Eventually I can ask the requester if he got the files, but that is potentially a tedious back-and-forth process (especially if the upload failed, or didn't even start). Is there a way for the non-requester to verify that the file is being uploaded?22Views0likes2CommentsUploading images/videos from iPhone resets the name to today's date instead of its creation date
Hello Dear Dropbox-Team, I find it very useful that Dropbox changes the names of my images and videos to this uniform format "[Foto|Video] DD.MM.YY, HH MM SS.[jpg|png|mp4|...]" when I upload them from my iPhone using the client. For example, my image named "IMG_1234" will be named "Foto 01.01.20, 12 59 55". This helps me a ton to organise my images/videos on a separate drive by sorting by name, since the date is embedded in the filename. Unfortunately, this does not work for all images. After uploading some of my images, the creation date is reset to today's date, which breaks this organisation system. I have not changed the metadata on these images, but it still happens. Is there a way to make the naming convention consistent, propably with a fix? Thank you in advance for answering my question 🙂400Views0likes9CommentsI can't open/edit/upload files inside my desktop app

I pay for Dropbox Plus and have heaps of cloud space to upload to. Unfortunately I can't seem to be able to upload a 250GB folder whether I use the website or the Desktop APP. Am I missing something fundamental or is 250GB over a limit. It's driving me nuts. Thanks for any help. Vic24Views0likes3CommentsShow destination folder name/path for 'Share to Dropbox'
Android OS: Share>Upload to Dropbox>'Choose upload location': That dialog window does not show the name/path of the destination folder it is displayingto the user. Often this forces the user to tap 'back' several times to see what node of the folder tree the app will send the file(s) to. If the user hasn't done a recent 'Share>Add to Dropbox' operation, they have no memory of what the last destination folder path was. Please help the user know right away the name/path if the default destination folder. Thank you. P.S. I wish this feedback system would allow for screenshots to be uploaded.786Views2likes13CommentsWhen I try to upload content using the website, nothing happens.
Since last week I have been unable to upload any files to the Dropbox website. When I click 'upload or drop' and then choose 'file', nothing happens. I have tried clearing the browser (Chrome) cache and deleting cookies, restarting my laptop, and trying a different browser (Edge), but no luck with any of those potential solutions. My colleagues use the desktop version of Dropbox and none of them have had similar issues or know how to help me. Many thanks, RosanneSolved59KViews0likes9CommentsI don't see my external drive backup files, even though the backup is completed.
It's my first time using Dropbox Backup and I wanted to backup my external hard drive before I change the settings on it. On the Dropbox Backup homepage, it says backup is completed, but when I click to view backed up files, only my folders are there and nothing else. I've checked on multiple computers and still nothing. Please help.713Views0likes7CommentsDropbox photo sync is missing lots of photos.
I've been using the automatic photo backup for a long time now, and I assumed it is reliable and all my photos are being backed up successfully when it says they are. I am really alarmed to discover that is actually not the case. Recently I opened Dropbox and it started the photo sync and it said it had a little over 2200 photos to sync, ok no problem I left it open and let it do its thing. I checked on it a few minutes later and it said "all backed up" and I think wow that was really fast...too fast actually. So I check my dropbox and there's only 561 files there. It missed like 1600 pictures and said "all good!". This is really alarming and I'm now instantly extremely sad thinking about how many photos my wife and I have likely lost over the years. I am shook. How can I get it to retry all the photos it apparently did not upload?267Views0likes5Comments
